Job Description

We are currently working with a company who are the leading provider of electrical and mechanical services to the construction industry and development sectors. They specialise in the design and installation of high-quality services and systems providedto the commercial, educational, food, accommodation and industrial sectors throughout the whole of England.Our client is the number one choice services contractor for a number of regional and national construction companies and developers in England, as well as for a number of blue-chip commercial and educational institutions around the country.They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. Candidates must have proven experience working a similar role, and have a strong electrical background.Position Overview - Senior Electrical Estimator

  • Using IT software for tendering
  • Running projects ranging in value
  • Maintaining excellent relations with professional teams and directly with end user clients
  • Liaising with wholesalers and manufactures to ensure best value procurement
  • Issuing technical approvals of plant and materials including requests for information
  • Issue and implementation of method statements and risk assessments
  • Liaise with Client and Principal contractor at design and progress meeting
  • Interpreting drawings and specifications, undertaking material take-offs and ordering of materials
Position Requirements - Senior Electrical Estimator
  • Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Able to manage a wide range of projects
  • Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Proven leadership skills including managing, developing, and motivating others to achieve their objectives
  • A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects
  • Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different forms of contracts
  • Must hold a valid Drivers Licence
  • NICEIC qualifying manager an advantage
  • Time served electrician with excellent technical knowledge
  • Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point
