Job Description

This full-time position entails working with two KS2 pupils exhibiting challenging behavior and autism. We welcomeapplicants with experience and qualifications in supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and ADD to seize this ideal opportunity.Primary Responsibilities:

  • ASD Support: Tailored assistance for non-verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Engagement Tactics: Implement communication strategies using visual aids for enhanced learning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to create tailored education plans for non-verbal children with ASD.
  • Progress Tracking: Assess and track development, collaborating for optimal learning adjustments.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Excellent understanding of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviours, and developmental delays.
  • Calm demeanour in challenging situations.
  • Quick thinking and ability to act independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
