Job Description

SF Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a business in Derby. Reporting into the Management Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will initially be focusing on getting control over the Accounts Payable ledger and any investigating workrequired. RoleThe role will be based in the new Derby office and will report into the Management Accountant. The Accounts Assistant will be engaged principally in the following areas: - Full responsibility for Accounts Payable ledger (PO, invoice, statements, payments, ledger maintenance) - Expenses runs - Bank reconciliations - Other company ledger as above once original ledger tidy - Possibility of additional work such as prepayments, office admin, credit cards & looking at processes once up and running and taken ownership of the ledgers. Person SpecificationThe successful applicant is expected to be a self-starter, demonstrate an ability to manage & prioritise a variety of tasks, ensuring deadlines are met. You must possess good team skills as well as excellent verbal and written skills. Intermediate excel (vlookup, SUMIF, pivot tables, general data manipulation ability) and general speed of processing on finance & operational systems are essential, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
