Job Description

Our innovative thinking shapes our industry; equipping the world for tomorrows challenges.Join our Power team as a Proposal Manager and you can contribute to tangible, worthwhile work you can be proud of.As a Proposals Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Plan and allocate work to manage resources effectively to meet programme demands and deadlines
  • Co-ordinate activities with the team such that proposals, pre-qualification and tender support objectives are achieved to cost, quality and time
  • Plan, facilitate and manage workshops, for example bid strategy, answer planning, reviews etc
  • Lead production of market-leading submission materials
  • Liaise with Work Winning Director, Bid Manager, Account Manager, and Business Development Team to develop strategy for engagement at account and opportunity level, to support communications and ultimately opportunity conversion
  • Ensure PQQs and tender submissions are planned, managed and coordinated effectively and within strict time constraints, including allocation of tasks to subject matter experts
  • Contribute to writing, editing and production of submission documents as required
  • Carry out independent and critical reviews of submission documents
  • Attend post tender review meetings to determine lessons learnt and ensure these are fed back into subsequent submission
  • Coordinate and produce case studies, value reports, brochures, presentations and other such collateral/ communications material to support account and opportunity engagement
You will have the following:
  • Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively
  • Able to command respect across the business
  • Has previous experience of bid writing and preparing quality submissions
  • Has ability to engage with and drive the team to produce quality outputs
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of selling value / differentiation
  • Has thorough knowledge of Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of InDesign publishing software would be an advantage, but not essential
