Job Description

Project Planner (Civil/ structural design/construction)Salary: Competitive + Excellent benefitsLocation: Derby, UKThe clientA civil and structural design organisation in the construction sector, specialising in Electricity Substation asset build and refurbishment. They handle projects from concept to completion, including works in steel framed structures, foundations, and the watertreatment industry.The Role:The Project Planner will create and manage internal resources and project programmes, ensuring timely project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in the power sector(desirable)Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning civil design projects, maintaining detailed plans using MS Project/Primavera, resource capacity planning, progress monitoring, and liaising with project teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan civil design projects to meet client requirements and design programmes.
  • Create and maintain detailed plans in MS Project/Primavera
  • Conduct resource capacity planning.
  • Monitor and report project progress.
  • Liaise with project teams for successful project delivery.
  • Perform contingency programming and forecasting.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years+ of planning experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project/Primavera
  • Experience with workload planning software.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Enthusiastic and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Focus on delivering quality service and achieving high customer satisfaction.
  • Utilises appropriate technology in work development and delivery.
  • Willingness to attend training and develop relevant skills.
