Job Description

Project Engineer - Engineering Manufacture£40k + Bonus + Good Benefits PackageDerbySmall but extremely successful and rapidly growing Engineering manufacturing business, are looking for a Project Engineer to join an enthusiastic established team.The business manufactures various products using fabrication, laser cutting and CNC machining processes – Oil & Gas, Rail, Aerospace, and many other manufacturing industries across the UK and overseas,As Project Engineer your role will include:

  • Being the glue that holds together the set up and delivery of manufacturing projects for the Rail, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and a range of other engineering industries.
  • Using AutoCAD and Solidworks to edit and improve designs, in consultation with the manufacturing teams and end client.
  • Liaison between production team and the customer on a regular basis – this is a hands-on role.
  • Ensuring that milestones are hit and preventing projects slipping or hitting bumps in the road.
  • Working in a vibrant and exciting environment, with outstanding facilities and modern manufacturing equipment and plant.
  • Having a right first-time mentality and experience of Lean Manufacturing.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Been in customer facing roles in the past and be comfortable dealing with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess great engineering knowledge from practical experience within machining, fabrication, laser cutting and profiling, and similar engineering manufacturing activities.
  • A solid working knowledge of both AutoCAD and Solidworks, and the ability to create, adapt and discuss designs with the manufacturing teams and customer contacts.
  • Demonstrate the enthusiasm to deliver fantastic, customer focussed results, and willing to go the extra mile.
