Project Engineer£32,000 - £40,000 + Training + Progression + Company BenefitsDerby (Commutable from: Nottingham, Burton-on-Trent, and Loughborough)Are you an Engineer from a Manufacturing / Production background, looking to join a global company in a technically interesting roleThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist business in a highly varied position, where you will be involved with and helping to manage projects from cradle to grave, with opportunities to further progress your career.The company operate worldwide across a range of sectors within Manufacturing and Engineering, and as a result of their ongoing success, they are continuing to grow their team.The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, with previous project management experience, looking for a long term career with future progression opportunities.The Role:

  • Supporting the Production Manager with the management of projects from cradle to grave
  • Project reports including schedule, cost, and profitability
  • Identifying project risks and developing mitigation plans
  • Developing and maintaining bill of materials (BoM)
  • Office based with occasional travel
The Person:
  • Degree / HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Project management experience is essential
  • Experience of manufacturing techniques, such as welding, brazing, soldering, machining (turning and milling), 3D printing, metal coating, and heat treatment processes
  • Any previous experience with precision engineering / production is highly advantageous
