Preceptorship Nurse - Mental Health Nurse / Learning Disability Nurse (RMN / RNLD) - Low Secure Female Personality Disorder ServiceUp to £15.15 per hour (£30,330 per year) + enhancementsDerby, DE24 8W05 February 2021We are looking for a Newly Qualified Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse (RMN / RNLD) to complete their Preceptorship programme at Cygnet Hospital Derby on Alvaston Ward, our Low Secure Female Personality Disorder service.You will be working 38.5 hours per week at Cygnet Hospital Derby.Cygnet Hospital Derby provides low secure and mental health rehabilitation care based on the Recovery Model.You will be based on Alvaston ward, our specialist 16 bed low secure service for women with a primary diagnosis of personality disorder, which is one of the leading services of its kind in the East and West Midlands.Your Day-to-Day...

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

  • Entry rate for RMN/RNLD - £15.15 per hour
  • Plus 10% Nights in week = £16.67 an hour
  • Plus 20% Weekend Days = £18.18 an hour
  • Plus 30% Weekend Nights = £19.70 an hour
    • Rising to £33,033 per annum/ £16.50 per hour + enhancements, following the successful completion of Preceptorship programme and probation at 6 monthsEnhancements rates:
  • Rate for RMN/ RNLD following probation/ preceptorship - £16.50 per hour
  • Plus 10% Nights in week = £17.77
  • Plus 20% Weekend Days = £19.38
  • Plus 30% Weekend Nights = £20.87

  • Support from Cygnets Preceptorship Development Manager
  • Minimum two shifts per week working with your nominated preceptor
  • Preceptee supernumery 1st week on ward
  • Monthly CPD Days off the ward (specialist and general)
  • Clinical supervision, minimum 1 session per month
  • Managerial supervision, minimum 1 session per month
  • Preceptee Group Meetings on site and across the Cygnet group
  • Pay rise on completion of preceptorship
