You’ll be a strong writer and be keen to engage with thePR aspects of the role as well as the content side, which means picking up the phone and talking to journalists doesn’t faze you! If that’s you, do read on..The role:So, as PR and Content Executive most of your time will be spent on client delivery, and you’ll work across multiple accounts, mainly within the b2b sector. You’ll report into an Account Manager and Directors to create, curate and distribute content to wideaudiences through social media, email marketing, websites and press activity. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media, journalists, influencers and bloggers, collaborating with them to create new editorial opportunities, and you’llliaise with the media regularly via phone to sell in press releases and feature articles under the watchful eye of your account manager. You’ll research and develop media lists as well as content opportunities for clients.From a social media perspective, you’ll understand how to maximise engagement and deliver effective content out puts, as well as developing content which delivers against SEO keywords and objectives and is consistent in terms of style and tone of voice.You’ll deliver social calendars on time and you’ll be responsible for account admin such as social media community management, evaluation and reporting.Lastly, you’ll attend events, including press conferences, promotional events and trade shows.What we’re looking for:This is a junior level, even entry level role, so we’re not looking for that much commercial experience, but you will need some. You’ve probably undertaken a relevant degree or apprenticeship and be keen to grow your career within a supportive agency environment.You will be a strong writer with good attention to detail skills, as well as being a real stickler for good grammar but most importantly you’ll be confident enough to speak to clients and journalists over the phone. Our client is more than happy to considercandidates whose experience has been purely social media, but you must be happy to progress into PR duties relatively quickly. You’ll love current affairs across political, social and economic factors, and you’ll take time to understand the media landscapein which the agency operates.
