Job Description

Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we actas an extension of our clients recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. They are committed to innovation and the continual pursuit of improvement,and with a brand holding over 100 years of service they are now developing their technology capabilities, venturing into new markets and building their customer base further.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a People Partner for a 6 Month contract (with the opportunity to go permanant) based in Derby.Purpose of the Role:Working with the leadership team in setting the strategy and business plan, bringing HR insights to the process. The People Partner ensures the development of a Strategic Workforce Planning plan to support the business strategy and plan.Key Skills:

  • Ability to analyse and challenge business strategy and develop people implications.
  • Experience using Organisation Development to enhance business/organisational performance.
  • Broad knowledge of the HR function and its capability to support business objectives.
  • Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills and senior levels and across functions.
  • Broad change management skill set, combined with the ability to apply project management principles to deliver and support organisational change.
  • Ability to coach senior leaders and their teams to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams.
  • Sensitive to language and cultural differences.
  • Continual commitment to personal learning, demonstrated ability to build on learning and share within the broader HR function.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Good demonstrable experience of working with Trade Unions within a manufacturing Environment.
  • Strong understanding around various facets of operational HR activities.
  • Comfortable and fully conversant with collective agreements
  • Experienced in delivering change within an HR function and its internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manufacturing Industry background ideally.
