Job Description

My client, a large public sector organisation, is looking for a Multi-skilled Craftsperson with mechanical bias to join their busy team based in Derby. Due to the nature of the role, youll be required to travel to sites around Derbyshire so access to vehicleand a full driving licence is a must.This is a full-time, temporary position with a view to turn into a permanent basis if successful.Essential Skills:

  • Plumbing
  • Experience with HVAC (Air-conditioning, Ventilation)
  • Steam, Pressure systems
  • Motors, couplings, bearings
  • Experience of maintenance PPMs
Desirables:
  • Previous experience of working within hospital settings
  • Previous experience of working within maintenance teams
Ideal Candidates
  • Experience within a large and complex estate
  • City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent course in Mechanical Engineering
  • Multiskilling in electrical to a minimum of NVQ2 or equivalent
  • Understanding of the principles of Health and Safety management procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle is a must
