Job title: Modification Technician (Rolling Stock) Job location: Various (Derby, Loughborough, Wolverhampton and Crewe) Hourly pay rate: £22.95 Paye / £29.31 Umbrella Expenses: Paid when moving between the different depots Duration: On-going contract (12months+)Industrys considered:* Rolling stock, Aviation, PSV, Bus, HGV, Automotive, Marine, Armed ForcesBackgrounds considered:* Vehicle Builders, Door Technicians, Interior Trimmers, Cabin Fitters, Mods Tech, Modification Technicians, Interior FitoutPosition Summary:* Working on new state of the art Rolling Stock preparing them for sale to the customer* Travelling across multiple depot completing various snags and modifications* Working from detailed written work instructions, to high safety critical standards* Working in small teams to get the work done accurately and on time* Working to the business competency standards (Torque Tightening, Earth Bonding, Rivnut, Monobolt)Examples of Different Task Undertaken:* Removal and refitting of toilet packs* Removal and refitting of interior components and trim (seats, grab poles, luggage racks etc)* Fitting and refitting of large underframe parts* Working to detailed engineering drawings* Refitting pipe work* Walk the vehicle and identify faults or snagsPerson Profile/Experience:* Able to work from and interpret written work instruction closely* Able to demonstrate experience in a safety critical mechanical engineering* Able to carry out physical aspects as well as the more intricate aspects of the role* Flexible to move around the different depots* Flexible and committed team member that works well as part of team* Accurate and efficient workerQualifications:NVQ Level 3 ideal or Minimum of 2 years relevant experienceContact Information:Email: Number: PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
