Job Description

The RoleCapella Professional are proud to be working in partnership with a global leader in the manufacture of fragrance, flavour, and ingredient, as they look to recruit a Marketing Manager to join their Sweet and Beverage division in Derby on a permanent contract.They are looking for someone with previous experience in marketing or category management of food ingredients/flavours/FMCG to work across a range of sweet categories with a focus on beverage and sports nutrition sectors. You will be working closely withthe company marketing network at a global and regional level, as well as analysing data, trends, and consumer insights to provide compelling marketing and encourage the growth of the company.You will need to be organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. As a full-time position, reporting to the UK Marketing Manager, you will be based at our brand-new, modern offices in Derby with some flexiblehome working available. Travel to UK Customers, plus some European countries, will be expected.Specific Responsibilities

  • Marketing lead for beverage, dairy, confectionery and bakery categories and customers in the UK, plus sports nutrition marketing lead in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region, to include: -
    • Driving and formulating strategy through category knowledge, analysis of sales, trends, consumer insight, products, and competitors, providing recommendations and identifying opportunities to feed into current and future plans.
    • Work with sales and technical teams to develop and communicate annual UK sweet and beverage marketing plan, and EMEA sports nutrition roadmap to engage with existing and potential customers using innovative tools
    • Producing and delivering effective presentations to customers for proactive and reactive projects including the development of innovative concepts with the sales and technical teams
    • Manage and co-ordinate the sweet and beverage target customer plan
    • Developing strong relationships with our customers, who manufacture well-known food and drink brands, to understand their strategies, brand plans and initiatives
    • Liaising with HO category teams to support and understand roadmaps and key projects and how they can form part of the UK sweet and beverage marketing plans
    • Share knowledge of the UK sweet and beverage market with HO category marketers, local EMEA marketers and consumer insight team
  • Capture and share key information for new sweet and beverage product launches with the UK and category teams identifying consumer preferences and trends
  • Contribute to the development of the TREND CAPTURE program, a global tool capturing consumer trends with a focus on food and drink
  • Attend and share knowledge at EMEA marketing meetings and other relevant project meetings; this will involve travel outside the UK
  • Any other marketing activities deemed necessary to meet the strategic aims of the company
The Person
  • Previous experience as a marketing manager or similar marketing role
  • Excellent level of English, both spoken and written
  • Computer literate, with excellent PowerPoint skills and ability to use research databases
  • Keen interest in food and drink, youll be expected to participate in tastings
  • Great communication skills, confident presenting to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects
  • Creative, with a good eye for detail
  • Good team player, ability to work effectively with local, regional and global teams
  • Dynamic and self-motivated
  • Travel to UK customers, our Head Office (France) which will include staying away and unsociable hours, plus other European countries as and when required
  • Clean driving licence, you will be required to drive locally, as well as longer distances to visit customers
Additional InformationFull-Time | 9.00am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri, 9.00am - 3.00pm Fridays (30 minute lunch break)
