Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Team Leader. The role will provide key support to the ensure that the factory achieves its goals and objectives to deliver on all aspects of productivity, output, quality, safety, legal compliance,and environmental management.Client DetailsMichael Page have been appointed to recruit for an permanent Maintenance Technician opportunity based in Derby. We are proud to be partnering with a long standing business who have recently experienced a period of growth.DescriptionAs a Maintenance Technician you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out with a non-negotiable approach to quality and safety
  • Work within the CMMS system to ensure all scheduled works are completed on time and in full and all evidence
  • To provide reactive support to asset breakdown issues, returning equipment to service in a timely manner
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities in the plant
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities in the plant to ensure that corrective and preventative actions are taken
ProfileThe Successful Maintenance Technician will have the following:
  • Time served maintenance technician in mechanical and electrical diagnosis and repair of plant, services, and equipment, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering field
  • Experience of PLC fault diagnosis and programming
  • Experience of maintaining through asset care programs, automated filling and packaging machinery and automated chemical batch processing equipment
