Job Description

Do you consider yourself a bit of a tech expert and would like your first role within IT SupportCulture Recruitment are pleased to be working on recruiting a brand new team of numerous IT Support Technicians for an IT Business Services company in Derby.From starting the position you will be receiving full training and support development to enable you to become a credible IT Support Technican resolving 1st Line queries and building up great relationships with clients from day one.As a successful candidate, you will have a great opportunity to work with global companies and in return we will offer excellent development opportunities. Full training of the service processes will be provided.Day to day responsibilities of the IT Support Technican include:

  • Answering client requests via telephone and email
  • Maintaining a customer focused service though the lifecycle of each ticket by managing customer expectations by keeping customer informed of progress
  • Triaging and troubleshooting customer issues with first class telephone support, gathering and analysing information to identify and resolve as quickly as possible
  • Classifying tickets accurately and prioritise In lines with Service Level Agreement
  • Logging service desk tickets, ensure all information is correctly captured, assign the correct priority and status to the ticket
  • Liaising with external support companies and suppliers where necessary
  • Updating tickets accurately and ensure tasks are progressed through to a satisfactory conclusion
Key Attributes for the IT Support Technician to include:
  • Previous customer service skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical and diagnostic skills for problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and projects
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, flexible and committed attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to understand and follow standard documented processes
The position is based in Derby (near Wyvern Business Park), and paying between £20,000 - £23,000 dependent on experience.There are two shift patterns please see below:
  • Role 1: Mon - Fri, 13:00pm - 22:00pm
  • Role 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat - 12:00pm - 21:00pm
