Job Description

Finance ManagerWe have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance professional to manage the Finance department for an exciting charity.Position: Finance ManagerLocation: DerbyHours: Full time, 37.5 hoursSalary: £40kContract: PermanentBenefits: Pension scheme, Generous holiday allowance and flexible working hours.Closing Date: Tuesday 20th February 2024Please note: This role may close early should the organisation receive a suitable volume of applications.The RoleAs Finance Manager you will report to the CEO and Board of Trustees, your main responsibility will include maintaining the charity’s financial reports and monitoring / reporting on trading activities.Your duties may include:

  • Line management of finance team
  • Responsibility for the day to day transactions of the business, including some processing of invoices, bank payments and receipts
  • Reconciliations of account and ledger balances
  • Production of monthly management accounts, cashflow projections and financial reports
  • Producing ad hoc financial analyses for department heads as required
  • Submitting quarterly reports for funders
  • Operating and monitoring the purchase order system and Purchasing Policy.
  • Keeping records of Fixed Asset movements
  • Production of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Liaise with payroll providers, collating monthly payroll data.
  • Liaise with company auditors and insurers
  • Use of Excel and Xero, to effectively communicate financial information as directed
About YouAs Finance Manager ideally, you will be an experienced part qualified accountant or an accountant qualified by experience.To be successful in this role, you will have experience of:• Significant experience in a similar role• Ability to work under pressure• Excellent time management skills• People management skillsYou may also have experience in areas such as Finance, Financial, Finance Manager, Financial Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, Deputy Finance Manager, Junior Finance Manager, Accountant, Accountancy, Management Accountant.PLEASE NOTE: This role is being advertised by NFP People on behalf of the organisation.
