Job Description

An experienced Composite Laminator with at least 2 years of Pre-Preg Composite Laminating experience is needed to join the team at this leading Composite Manufacturing company based in Derby on a full-time basis.Pentaxia is a contract manufacturer of advanced composite (typically carbon fibre) tooling and components. Founded in 2008 and family-owned, the business is on an exciting growth trajectory as we scale to become the UKs leading advanced composite provider.As a Composite Laminator, you will be responsible for meticulously preparing and applying composite materials to create high-quality components. With a site footprint of seven acres, a 70,000 sqft facilityand plenty of space to expand, were positioning ourselves to scale up.Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Operating specialised equipment
  • Implementing precise lay-up techniques
  • Collaborate closely with the production, quality and engineering teams to ensure that quality standards are met and production timelines are adhered to
Required Skills:
  • Good hand skills and an eye for detail
  • Competent in vacuum bagging of composite components
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Disciplined in following company standard operating procedures and quality systems
  • Self-motivated to meet quality and delivery targets
  • Have a positive "Can do" attitude to everyday operations and continual improvement initiatives
  • Attention to detail, a keen understanding of composite materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Preg Composite Laminating
  • Pre-preg composite experience in motorsport, aerospace or similar industries would be an advantage
