Job Description

Our client is seeking an individual with experience and capability of holding SMF16 and SMF17 functions within their growing IFA firm.This unique opportunity is available to join an IFA firm led by highly experienced Senior Leadership team at the early stages of their growth phase. They have strong backing to enable rapid growth. They require an individual to hold the SMF16 and SMF17 responsibilitieswith the FCA and undertake tasks associated with these duties.The business has sight and realistic ability to achieve £100m FuM within 12 months of launch.The role is still in development; therefore it is currently open to part-time, full-time or contract basis. This will evolve as the business progresses through their FCA approval process and also be dependent on what you can offer to the business.Our client is also potentially seeking an individual capable of holding SMF3 as Managing Director of the firm. There is scope for all three duties to be held by the same individual or be split across two rolesCriteria

  • You must have current experience holding SMF16 and SMF17 within an IFA firm
  • You must have strong compliance knowledge and ability to create and deliver processes
  • You must be comfortable working within a business at the infancy stage and adaptable for when the green light is given to significantly expand
