Job Description

As a Care Assistant, youll join us in our continued efforts to make life better for our clients.Prestige Nursing & Care has provided home care for over 75 years and we have 35 local offices in England and Scotland. We look after a variety of clients in their own homes and we also work with local care homes, nursing homes and the NHS.Who will you be helping to make life better forPrestige Nursing & Care are looking to expand a small team of Complex Care Assistants to provide support for a male in his late 30s across a range of needs. Our client has an Acquired Spinal Injury (C4/C5) together with diagnoses of Autonomic Dysreflexiaand Asthma.Our client has been supported by Prestige Nursing & Care for over 12 years and our intervention ensures they have their daily medication, wash/shower routine maintained and visits to the local community. Complex tasks include caring for a Supra Pubic Catheter, Bladder Washouts, medication via specialist route and hoisting via ceiling-track hoist. They live in a purpose-built annexe of the main family home, and part of our support is to provide respitefor the family. Our client aspires to move into their own property in the future. Longer day shifts include trips out to either the cinema, out for dinner, trips to local landmarks, shopping or even trips to seaside- wherever the fancy takes! It is essential that Care Workers hold a full clean driving licence as they will needto drive the clients wheelchair accessible vehicle to facilitate trips out. The ideal applicants will be laid back with a good sense of humour and an outgoing nature.How will you be helping

Were looking for:
  • Six months paid experience in care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A drivers licence & own transport is essential
