SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Buyer for their Manufacturing client based in Derbyshire. This is a full-time permanent role with a salary paying up to £37,000. This is an exciting, dynamic role supporting the Indirect Procurement team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be required to control the purchasing of all revenue, capital and consumable requirements for the business. Suitable candidates must have prior Buying experience. It is essential you have excellent communication skills as you will be required to regularly liaise with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have excellent analytical skills to regularlyreport and extract data. You must be a confident negotiator in order to liaise with suppliers and build strong relationships. Main Duties - Assist the Procurement Manager in the control of operations and stocks - Source & negotiate best value for money on procurement of all stocked items. - Provide advice & guidance when required to achieve best price on all non-stock items. - Process all orders in a timely manner and keep originators updated order progression. - Provide advice and guidance on service orders where required to achieve best price. - Liaise with the Key stakeholders to identify obsolete stock- Carry out supplier performance reviews to encourage collaborative working relationships. - Source hire equipment to satisfy Operational & Maintenance demand. - Manage all aspects of collection & delivery of items - Obtain multiple RFQs as necessary for project or special/spot purchases. - Ensure that all purchases/deliveries are of an acceptable quality. - Endeavour to optimise stores stockholding to more appropriate and economic levels. - Form part of the reporting structure between our Goods Inwards & the Procurement Manager. - Support our Goods Inwards team to help deliver upon business objectives. Ideal candidates will have their CIPS qualification, be studying towards or have an interest in obtaining this. Experience with MRP/ERP systems is essential - SAP would be desirable. This is a fast-paced role and you must be a quick thinker and be able to workindependently. You will be required to work to deadlines within a timely manner. Get in touch today for further details.
