Job Description

Our innovative thinking shapes our industry; equipping the world for tomorrows challenges.Join our Plant & Fleet team as a Business Development Coordinator in our Modular Accommodation teamand you can contribute to tangible, worthwhile work you can be proud of!As a Business Development Coordinator, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Efficient production of quotations for Traditional and Urban modular buildings - providing guidance on design and specification to provide customers with effective building solutions, suitable for the projects needs and requirements.
  • Produce quotations for tender purposes based on effective estimating, using relatable markets rates to ensure BB Modular stay competitive throughout the tender process.
  • Compile accurate refurbishment costs based on effective estimating for buildings requiring re-hire.
  • Regularly review and update fleet condition to provide accurate data on available buildings.
  • Keep up to date with all legislation relating to modular buildings.
  • Manage customer enquiries from initial receipt to acceptance of a purchase order.
  • Ownership of new business pipeline to ensure a continuous flow of incoming new business. Maintain regular contact with mobilisation hub & Project teams post quotation to maximise opportunities and minimise leakage. Assist with quarterly forecasting usingaccurate, live data.
  • To provide effective communication with operations, refurbishment, commercial and delivery colleagues to create harmony and efficiencies within the team in relation to the pipeline workload.
  • Maximise the utilisation of our Traditional modular fleet along with the promotion of our Urban modular solution where suitable.
  • Develop relationships with internal Balfour Beatty teams to improve teamwork and efficiency between different business streams.
  • Aid in securing and managing cost reductions.
  • Obtain customer feedback post-delivery, to assess team performance across all departments.
  • Exhibit positive behaviours to build relationships, internally and externally that meet that align with business values.
  • Collate full project handover documents to provide the operations, delivery and commercial teams with full project details, drawings and budgets for refurbishment/installation costs and requested timeframes
The following qualities/experience are essential:
  • Problem solving capabilities - includes forecasting potential issues in initial building design stages, looking beyond the obvious to ensure the customer is provided the best solution.
  • Time management/Priority Setting - ensure an organised and time managed approached to work tasks with a constant focus on day-to-day activities. Can successfully organise and prioritise workloads to understand which tasks should be prioritised.
  • Customer Service Skills - providing the end customer, along with our sub-contractors with excellent communication, focusing in full on the customer wants and needs whilst providing informative and valuable information to ensure an agreed consensus on allitems related to the project are met.
  • Business improvement orientated - enjoys working in a busy, fast paced environment, must be hard working to tackle complex challenges. Must have lots of energy, commitment, and the drive to seek additional challenges.
  • Driven individual that prefers to surpass goals and objectives and going above the normal day to day activities.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
  • Knowledge of Insphire asset management software preferred
  • Knowledge of modular building industry preferred
