Business Analyst

Job Description

Working within the Solutions Team, the Business Analyst will support the businesses vision and associated solution strategy through the delivery of first-class analytical and technical services as outlined below. This includes the need to conceptualise,scope and deliver integrated customer communication analysis and related solutions to Capita clients across a diverse range of industry sectors.

• Provide advice, support and guidance to Sales, CRMs and Directors in pre-sales scenarios - including demonstrations and technical solution dialogue with prospects and clients
• Act as a subject matter expert, where appropriate, and use business understanding to conceptualise innovative solutions during the pre-sales stage of the sales cycle
• Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which solution requirements flow
• Collaborate with the software development team and subject matter experts to establish the technical strategy needed to meet the vision, core purpose and objectives of the organisation. This includes remaining abreast of technology trends and testing newfeatures, modules and releases.
• Evaluate information gathered from the above sources to join the dots between what is and what can be
• Recommend, through audit output presentation (written and verbal), the strategic road map needed to transform customer communications
• Continually seek opportunities to demonstrate and set the example for CDIS vision, core values and purpose
• Extensive experience in the document management industry (inbound and outbound comms), specifically as it relates to business analyst role in the inbound mailroom and transactional print and mail market would be a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital services including SMS, email, social media and web portal solutions would be an advantage
• Experience of delivering document-centric solutions within the Health, Financial Services, Insurance and / or Local Government markets is desirable
• Extensive experience of business analysis including Business Process Re-Engineering
• Strong interpersonal skills and the associated ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organisation, clients, partners, and suppliers alike
• Practical experience of workflow analysis with demonstrable skills in Business Process Engineering to deliver innovative solutions, preferably with experience of working within a business transformation team in a BA or operational role
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

Desirable Skills (NOT A MUST)

• Awareness of Document Composition, multi-channel customer communications and associated tools e.g. GMC PrintNet / Aspire, Doc1
• Understanding of print production and workflows and awareness of DSA / Mailsort tariffs
• Experience working with enterprise implementations of ECM, EDRM and EDM technology
• Understanding of document capture technologies; in particular image transformation software, software configuration and image manipulation
• Understanding of Managed Print Services
• Experience of delivering document solutions within the Health, Financial Services, Insurance and / or Local Government markets
• Understanding of aspects relating to secure data handling
