Job Description

Truma Ltd are looking for an experienced Assembly Line Manager to join our organisation within our Powrtouch brand warehouse and production team.We are the UKs leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of caravan movers. We are a small welcoming, dedicated team with an established and developing product range. We are based in a modern facility, with ample free staff parking in pleasant surroundingsat Dove Valley Business Park just off A50 near Foston. 20 minutes from Derby or Burton-on-Trent and the bus route from Burton-on-Trent and Uttoxeter. Our staff on average stay with us for 6 years and our longest staff member has worked with us for the past21 years.We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, team leader who, working with other Managers and members of the wider production team, ensures the correct assembly of our Powrtouch Caravan movers, dispatched throughout the UK and overseas.As Assembly Line Manager at Truma Ltd, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day to day leadership of the production team.
  • Allocating appropriate resources to ensure production plans and targets are met.
  • Ensuring staff are trained against set work instructions.
  • Continually monitoring staff performance.
  • Ensuring good stock control of parts.
  • Assisting with mover and parts dispatch.
  • Ensuring 5S techniques are maintained throughout the assembly and warehouse areas.
  • Driving continuous improvement.
At Truma Ltd, we are looking for an Assembly Line Manager who has the following skills and experience:
  • We are looking for an experienced assembly leader/supervisor who feels they have the skills in managing a team in assembly work and is able to maintain high standards and achieve daily targets of production.
  • If you feel you can work in an organised way and pay attention to detail and be able to drive production this could be the position for you, even if you don’t currently have the experience for all the main responsibilities.
  • You must have a positive attitude and willingness to embrace change in a workplace in which we strive for continuous improvement.
Our work pattern allows you to work half a day every Friday, subject to taking your turn at a late finish on the Friday once per month.Working with other members of the production team start and finish times are as follows:Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30 (30 minutes lunch)Friday: 08:00-14:30 (finish at 16:30 when required to cover on a rotating basis).Along with a salary of c£31,000 per annum depending on experience, you will also receive 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), plus one additional day for your birthday (after 2 years’ service).To apply for this role as Assembly Line Manager at Truma Ltd, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV, along with a cover letter sharing why you are interested in this position.Strictly no agency applications – thank you.
