Job Description

Our client a Local Authority, in Leicestershire is looking for two social workers to work within the Charnwood Adults Cognitive and Physical disability team.Blended approach to working with a mixture of home working and office-based working!Responsibilities of the role:

  • To be accountable for providing support for adults with physical disabilities and older people with eligible needs frailty and cognitive disabilities arising from long term conditions such as Dementia
  • To provide support to adults with early onset dementia including alcohol related dementia where the primary need is linked to needs arising from dementia
  • To be responsible for providing independence and opportunities with a focus on outcomes that promote wellbeing
  • You will be responsible for Care Act Assessment, Safeguarding, VARM, Mental Capacity Assessments/Best Interests decisions and Court Work
Requirements of the role:
  • Must hold a Social Work Qualification
  • Must be registered with Social Work England
  • Must have post-qualification experience in a social work setting
  • Must have knowledge of relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act
