We tailorour services to enable people to be as independent as possible.Would you like to support people with learning disabilities to have an inclusive and fulfilling life with opportunities to access the wider communities, i.e. attending concerts, sports events, general day to day outings, also supporting on holidays/breaksAre you looking to help people grow independence, learn new skills, live a healthy and active life If so, why not join our team today where you can have a growing role in helping amazing people achieve their goals each day!We are looking for people to help provide high-quality person-centred care on a full-time, part-time basis, as well as Bank Staff.Where will I be workingWe have multiple homes providing care and support for adults with Learning Disabilities, varying abilities, and health issues, it is a 24-hour service therefore flexibility is essential. Shift patterns include, mornings, evenings, sleep shifts/waking nightsand weekends/bank holidays.We offermarket leading rates of pay of up to £10.90per hour!If you are passionate about care work but do not have the relevant experience – please still apply. We believe in giving everybody a fair chance.We use a digital social care record system, to support daily recording, which will make your day-to-day tasks easier and allows you to spend more time with the People We SupportRole ResponsibilityThis is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:

  • Promoting the independence of the people we support
  • Supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday
  • Arranging activities in the home and in the local community
  • Developing residents life skills and personal interests
  • Helping residents stay safe and healthy
  • Assisting with personal care needs
  • Manual handling
  • Supporting people with medication
  • Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements
The level of care required will vary across our services. Some of the individuals we support are quite independent and just need assistance with daily activities; others require more assistance with personal care, medication,mobility and behaviours as wellas these daily tasks.The Ideal CandidateAre you looking to make a difference to peoples lives Do you have a caring nature Are you looking to make a difference to peoples lives Can you see yourself providing care to adults who need your supportPeople with learning disabilities will sometimes have multiple conditions that can create complex needs.   • Sensory input
  • Communication ability
  • Cognitive ability
Whilst knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needswould be beneficial, it isnt essential. What is essential is that you are:
  • Passionate, caring and enthusiastic
  • Flexible, patient and non-judgemental
  • A great team player with lots of energy
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed
