Job Description

Denstone College wish to provide an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our thriving school and be responsible for the effective management of all financial tasks and services. The successful candidate will report to the Bursar and havethe immediate line management responsibility for a small team.Finance Manager Requirements:

  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a finance leadership role
  • Experience in an education setting is desired but not essential
  • Detailed working knowledge of finance computer systems, ledgers and coding structures
  • A proven track record of building strong relationships and credibility at senior level across all internal functions
  • The ability to maintain and report on accurate records of budget setting and budget movements
  • The ability to support and advise on financial issues with both finance and other employees
  • The ability to identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures
  • Management skills including coaching, training, mentoring facilitating and influencing
