The unit works closely with the Dementia and Delirium team to ensure staff are knowledgeable and equipped to care for some of the most vulnerable patients in the Trust. We offer shadowing opportunities within our specialist areas too.The Health and Ageing wards have increased their band 6 nursing establishment to offer round the clock support to our junior nurses. Our senior nursing team are proud to specialise in the care of older people and committed to developing and supporting the junior staff within their teams.The Health and ageing wards at King’s are dedicated to maintaining compassionate and dignified care for some of the frailest patients within the Trust.The unit has three 30 bedded mixed sex wards, Donne, Byron and Marjorie Warren.
