Job Description

About the team:Our team is involved in research to improve the recovery of individuals with a diagnosis of schizophrenia led by Professor Dame Til Wykes. The studies involved include ones in an NIHR Applied Programme Grant (ECLIPSE) and the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded partnership between South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM)About the role:This is an opportunity to be a part of an exciting set of Research Programmes led by Professor Dame Til Wykes and Dr Matteo Cella. Research work includes (but is not limited to): the ECLIPSE Programme - an NIHR funded multi-centre study evaluating the implementation of cognitive remediation into first episode services around the UK; the Patient & Carer Involvement Theme for the Biomedical Research Council aiming to give the perspective of Service Users and Carers to the entire research portfolio of the BRC. The post-holder will be expected to work as directed by Prof Wykes and Dr Matteo Cella and includes developing and providing remote cognitive remediation therapy as well as clinical and cognitive assessments.About the location:The role is based in the Department of Psychology within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN). The department is located at Denmark Hill, less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).
