South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) has an exciting opportunity and is looking to recruit a substantive Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist with a specialist sessions in Renal and Gastroenterology care.Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist will be based with King’s College Psychiatry Liaison Team. The clinical sessions (10PA) will be split between General Liaison, Renal and Gastro-eneterology care teams to provide consultations and advice for dialysis and transplant patients.The Consultant will have a unique opportunity to work with the executive leadership team to develop effective interface between services Liaison services and the Acute and Crisis pathway in Southwark. You will work very closely with your fellow consultants and be encouraged to participate in and be a part of the famous Maudsley Grand rounds and be an active member of the Southwark MAC (Medical Advisory committee) where you will have the opportunity to regularly network with and seek support from your consultant colleagues.It is a condition of your employment that you are, and remain a fully registered medical practitioner and are included on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry held by the General Medical Council (GMC), or are eligible for inclusion into the register within six months of your appointment and continue to hold a licence to practice.
