The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.This complex but rewarding post is for a sensitive and professional person who is able to deal with relatives and carers following a bereavement. You will be the first point of contact for the bereaved, hence a professional approach and excellent telephone manner is essential. You must be able to communicate with other departments within the Trust and wider healthcare related community.You must have excellent communication skills, and a good level of education, proven organisational skills and be proficient in typing at RSA level III or equivalent. It is essential that you have knowledge of medical terminology and are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. You will need a good working knowledge of EPR, and PIMS as well as NHS Mail.You must have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team environment. You will also have a good understanding of the needs of bereaved families and be able to demonstrate that you can remain calm under pressure.
