Band 6 Nurse Team Leader, Denmark Hill Site Full Time: 37.5 hours/week: 11.5hr shifts (internal rotation nights/days/weekends/BHs)Are you an experienced Critical Care trained nurse Are you looking to develop your clinical expertise, leadership and management skills in a progressive, dynamic and friendly Critical Care Unit If so, then please read on as the Critical Care Units at KingsCollege Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Kings) wants to hear from you!Kings Critical Care Units (at Denmark Hill) are seeking experienced, passionate and dedicated Critical Care nurses who would like to develop their clinical, teaching, management and leadership skills in these demanding and rapidly changing environments.The Nurse Team Leader position assists the senior nursing team with the day to day management and leadership of the unit and an identified group of nurses. You will be a clinical expert, currently working on a busy, multi-speciality Critical Care Unit withthe ability to make clinical decisions in relation to both Level 2 and Level 3 patients.The post holder must have an appropriate post-registration Critical Care Course, Mentorship/Practice Assessor qualification (or complete Practice Assessor training within 6 months of appointment) and, ideally, hold (or be actively working towards) a UK recognisednursing degree or equivalent. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of change management reflected in improved patient care. Possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team, demonstratingan insight into team structure, leadership and development.Kings College Hospital is situated in South East London and provides comprehensive health care and emergency services for a diverse community. The units provide high-quality ICU & HDU care across all specialities for critically ill medical and surgical patients, including liver, neurosurgery,neurology, trauma, orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiothoracic, cardiology, renal, and haematology.In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer well-established, structured teaching and development programmes for all staff. We have an experienced Practice Development team to support your B6 learning, alongside your allocated B7 and matron.
