Job Description

Are you the kind of person who keeps the ship afloat Are you self-motivated with a real can-do attitude If youre ready to make a splash in a new job, a maritime manufacturer in Newton Abbot want you to join their team as a Marine and General Engineer. As an expert fabricator and engineer, youll be using your skills to create a range of parts to the highest standard for shipment around the country. Key responsibilities

Fabrication of propeller shafts, stern tubes, propellers and other boat parts

Essential Experience required

Recent experience in setting and operating lathe and milling machines

Strong track record of screw cutting, casting and taper turning

Problem solving abilities

Experience of designing and working from engineering drawings

Able to use engineering equipment such as micrometers and verniers

Desirable Experience

Able to weld bronze, steel and aluminium with TIG and MIG
