The school has a culturally diverse and respectful student body and a collaborative and supportivestaff culture.As a head of business, you will be responsible for leading and managing the business studies curriculum area, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all key stages. You will also be expected to teach business studies at KS4 and KS5 level,monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment, mentor and develop other teachers in the department, and contribute to the wider school improvement.To be considered for this role, you must have:QTS or equivalent teaching qualificationRelevant degree in business or related subjectProven track record of teaching business studies at KS4 and KS5 levelExcellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skillsStrong leadership and management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsEnhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain oneThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:The ability to secure high standards of achievementThe ability to give clear direction to teaching and learning across the business studies curriculum areaExcellent teaching skillsHigh level organisational and ICT skillsA track record of success at KS4 and KS5Effective communication skills, with the capacity to lead and work collaboratively as part of a teamThe potential to become an outstanding middle leaderThis is a long-term position, starting in January 2023 and lasting until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
