Job Description

Administrative Assistant (Part Time)Dartington, DevonGrade: C1 - C3 (£18,583.50 - £20,980.46 per annum pro rata)Hours: 16 hours per weekAre you a newly qualified business student looking for your first role or an experienced admin professional looking for a new exciting challengeIf so, our client is currently recruiting for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join their team at their residential & short-break home. Our client is part of a charity which provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and youngadults with learning disabilities.Reporting directly to the Business Support & Training Co-ordinator, in addition to supporting the management team (Registered Manager and Deputy Manager) and Team Leaders, your role involves the delivery of administration and quality assurance activities tomeet statutory and regulatory (Ofsted) requirements.Responsibilities include:- General administrative support- First point of contact for external and internal customers (parents, Social Workers, Local Authority Commissioning teams, contractors, suppliers and trainers)- Preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings- Basic financial administrative tasks (monitoring petty cash, procuring goods and services)- Supporting with quality assurance, compliance and audit management reporting processesInterested If so, you will need to:- Be working towards/possess a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent) or have relevant administrative experience in a busy environment such as a regulated setting (care home, childrens home, healthcare or education setting)- Have GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above in Maths and English are essential- Be highly organised and methodical in your approach to tasks- Possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (basic inputting, creating charts) and Outlook- Be friendly and approachable with a can-do attitude and a willingness to muck in and support- Work in a confidential and sensitive manner but also bring your sense of humour and determination to get things done- Plenty of enthusiasm, initiative and great problem-solving skillsPlease be aware that the Admin office is on the first floor and there is a lift. However, the role involves frequently receiving visitors, taking deliveries, escorting contractors and service engineers around the building, and delivering messages to staff inand around the home.
