They supply to airports, quarries, power stations, foundries and steelworks, and specialise predominantly in conveyor systems. While the company is based in Sheffield, their services have both a national and international scope. Due to the fields that they operate in, they also have a close working relationship with the Ministry of Defence. As a result, any prospective candidates willneed to go through a full MI5 security check.Role OverviewThe role will require the successful candidate to travel to sites across the country maintaining the material handling systems that the company produces. A standard week will see the engineer out on the road for at least 3 days, travelling to sites across thecountry fixing issues that arise with machinery. The remaining days will centre around maintaining equipment and installing/commissioning new machinery at the Sheffield site. The ideal candidate will be happy to travel long distances, and will have ample experience maintaining various types of conveyors and bulk material handling equipment. The role is predominantly mechanical, however electrical knowledge is essential. It is alsoalmost entirely reactive (apart from occasional 12-hour planned maintenance shifts), so the engineer will need to be confident thinking on their feet and be capable of fault finding efficiently and swiftly.While the role is mainly Monday to Friday, the candidate will occasionally be required to work weekends.
