Job Description

Are you at the early stages of your accounting career and looking for an exciting opportunity, to really establish yourself in the accounts industry Do you have a Level 2 AAT qualification and wish to further your studies, whilst working for an organisationthat offers study support If so, I have a very exciting opportunity to share with you!Reed Accountancy are representing a Darlington based business, recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and rewarding team. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £21K - £25K per annum (depending on yourexperience and skills).You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including:

You will be responsible for supporting the finance team in preparation of weekly ‘flash’ forecasts of key P&L areas (internal sales, production output, materials, direct labour & staff costs, transport etc.) to support managers in taking timely action toaddress financial performance shortfalls. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Posting monthly journals in multiple accounting systems (IFS, SAP, ORACLE)
  • Support the team in monthly production, logistics and support function meetings to ensure decision making has appropriate finance input and that the financial impacts of projects and operational changes are reflected in business financial forecasts on atimely basis
  • Supply Chain Operations finance admins tasks including
- Setting up vendors in SAP - Preparation of purchase orders - Preparation of sundry invoices for staff sales etc - Ad-hoc administrationThis is the perfect opportunity for someone at the earlier stages of their accounting career, or someone with the desire to further their professional studies.
