Job Description

Sustainability and ESG ManagerSemperian Group are looking to recruit to a Sustainability and ESG Manager position, on a permanent basis. This role can be based at either our Daresbury or Bristol office on a hybrid working basis, although we would be open to discussing options for home workingfor candidates based in either the North West or Bristol areas, and there will be some nationwide travel to project sites required.This role is vital to delivering on the ESG commitments Semperian has made in our sustainability objectives and strategy. Semperian are looking to expand our ESG team to include an ESG Manager to support the delivery of the ESG strategy.Sustainability and ESG Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support with the collection of ESG data from across the Group and Portfolio and draft ESG reporting for the Executive Committee and Investor Board using exports from ESG IT system
  • Support data owners with bespoke KPI submissions and answer queries
  • Support the Sustainability Officer with drafting the Annual ESG Report and support teams with how to answer ESG Questionnaires received from investors, lenders, and auditors
  • Draft internal and external communications on ESG activities and support on pursuit of external certifications and assurance activities
  • Support the Safety, Health and Environment team with ISO 14001 accreditation
  • Align data and KPIs to sustainability frameworks, e.g., TCFD, GRI, UN SDGs, and CDP
Sustainability and ESG Manager Requirements:Essential
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large data sets
  • Experience drafting communications
  • Familiar with ESG and Sustainability reporting and initiatives
  • Passion for ESG and sustainability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
  • A degree in Sustainability / Environmental Management
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, UN SDGs, SASB, ISSB, GRESB
  • Understanding of various business functions and the role these teams play in delivering ESG strategy
  • Knowledge of PFI/ PPP industry
  • Strong project management skills
  • Full, valid UK driving license
