Job Description

IT SupportBasic: £25,000 - £32,000 + benefitsRole: Day-to-day technical support to customersLocation: Runcorn office; Monday - Friday standard hours - no shiftsWHY Modern tech / Training & qualifications provided / varied day-day role / progressive culture

  • Do you have 3+ years in a similar role (i.e. 2nd Line Support, Service Desk, Help Desk, IT or Technical Support)
  • Do you have experience with Microsoft Servers, O365, Active Directory, VMWare or Hyper-V

Our client is a leading IT services and solutions provider who specialise in all aspects of IT Infrastructure including on-premise and in the cloud. As technologycontinues to quickly develop, they fulfil the vital role of understanding how these benefit their clients, exploiting new opportunities and increase efficiency.Due to growth, they are looking for 2nd Line Support to join a growing Service Desk team. This role offers an interesting and engaging opportunity to support a broad range of customers and diverse support challenges. Youll provide day-to-day technical supportto customers, manage incident resolution and provide excellent customer service within agreed an SLA guided environment. Career progression, qualifications and training will be offered from day 1 within a friendly culture based on trust.Key Responsibilities: IT Support
  • Provide professional and efficient 2nd line technical support to external clients
  • Incident ownership, with technical diagnosis and fixing of issues either remotely or on-site
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure systems to determine satisfactory incident resolution
  • Strive to exceed in the delivery of operational KPI’s and customer SLA’s
Experience Required: IT Support
  • 3+ years experience working within a similar role
  • Commercial experience of Microsoft applications, Server and desktop operating systems
  • Commercial experience of O365 user management and troubleshooting skills
  • Commercial experience of Active Directory (AD) and user account management
  • Commercial experience of Hyper-V or VMware
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of IT Security and firewalls
  • Beneficial if you have experience of VMware or Hyper-V
  • IT certification or equivalent (ITIL, MCP, etc.)
  • Full driving licence + vehicle
