Job Description

The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join our clients well established growing team based in Llanelli.Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £30k Shifts: DAYS Mon-Thurs: 8am-4.30pm & Fridays 8am-1pmResponsible for:Production Planning: This role will be responsible for overseeing customer schedule translation to Llanelli planning processes. Monitoring internal planning attainment with a goal of 100% adherence. Maintaining stock planning calculations in line with objectives,lean methodology and fulfilling customer requirements. Developing and the maintenance of KPI controls relevant to customer performance.Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of customer schedules - translation into Planning spreadsheets and Capacity plans
  • Review, communicate and monitor weekly demands against long term forecasts and equipment commercial agreed volumes
  • Align all stock profiles (finished, Safety, WIP) to support customer fluctuations/stock loss. Plan processes to meet internal / customer needs
  • Monitor and support system stock accuracy and oversee related improvement plans
  • To monitor, record and communicate adherence to plan, stock levels and customer fluctuation. When applicable to advise, agree and implement corrective plans
  • Regular and effective communication with internal departments
  • Support the NPI process with the responsibility for coordinating all production planning and related logistics activities
  • To support, progress, deliver and communicate new product introduction and Build out end of life key phases, related volumes and expectations as when applicable
  • Support and Participate in introduction of MRP
  • Support internal alert and ECR process
  • Capacity planning/Overtime analysis by work centre
  • Active instigation / participation in Continuous Improvement / problem solving activities
  • Customer systems and maintenance
  • SAP (MRP and ERP) experience and Microsoft proficient
  • A good interdepartmental communicator that can solve issues systematically & objectively.
  • Production planning and inventory control.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications necessary:
  • Demonstrated success in working efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Business process experience - Proven track record with automotive sector (possibly 1st tier)
  • Experience within a planning deployment environment
  • Process flow, product combinations to improve efficiency
  • Team structure - Core skills of different shifts to improve planning cycle
  • 5 GCSES grade A-C.
