Job Description

The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for an Internal Customer Service & After Sales Representative to join our clients growing team based in the Cymmer area.Contract: PermanentSalary: £24,000p.aHours of work: 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays.Main Purpose of the role:Provide a sales support function that offers high levels of customer service and helps link the customers, external sales staff, Distributors and the factory.Key responsibilities:Prepare quotations:

  • Prepare and issue quotations following the internal process chart
  • Record customer information and quotation data on the internal Database
  • Follow up on quotations and assess where improvements might be made to secure the order
Process orders:
  • Check details & liaise with logistics for delivery forecasts
  • Complete and issue order acknowledgements and related sales documentation
  • Record customer information and order data on the internal Database
  • Record and process customer information to give initial response to customer (this will be followed by a fully authorised calculation from Technical)
Deal with customer queries:
  • Monitor website traffic via LiveChat and intervene where prudent to do so: respond to, log and resolve any LiveChat derived queries with the input of other departments
  • Record details of new/potential customers
  • Reception duties
Support External Sales People and Distributors:
  • Research and collate market intelligence reports on Local Authorities, major contractors, new market segments and competitors
  • Weekly/monthly compilation and publication of sales/orders and invoicing performance by customer/distributor/zone/market etc...
  • Administration/communication of price changes
  • Maintain and update company website
  • Filing and archiving of sales documentation

  • Have experience of working in a Sales environment using mainly telephone and e-mail to create and maintain effective working relationships
  • IT literate, able to use Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to organise numerical and textual information accurately
  • Be able to create and maintain effective working relationships
  • Customer Service experience essential
