Job Description

Job Title: Support Worker - (£250 Welcome Bonus)Location: TorfaenSalary: £9.80 per hour (plus excellent benefits)Job type: Full time/Part TimeAre you looking for a way to make a difference in your communityAre you looking for a job that works around youUnited Response is looking for a Support Worker to join our supported living service in Torfaen.Making it happen - Your Role: You will be joining a team which supports people with various disabilities, including autism. Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.The role of a Support Worker is very varied and extremely rewarding. The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting people with the following activities:

  • Providing active support
  • Assisting with jobs around the house
  • Encouraging continued engagement in the community
  • Helping with personal finances
  • Personal care
  • Administering medication
About you: We welcome people from all walks of life to apply for a job with us. All training is provided, however, a driving licence is essential for this role, all we ask is that you have the compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect.It is essential that you have a full UK drivers licence and access to your own vehicle. You must also be flexible as we run 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so you must be able to commit to working various days of the week and also be able to do sleep-in shifts.Pay and Benefits: In addition to great job satisfaction and brilliant development opportunities as a Support Worker you will receive:
