If you are a Project Officer with a background in IT and/or Training this full time, 6 month fixed term contract could be a great opportunity for you. This role is a hybrid position that will involve some home working and travel to various schools within the borough. The Cashless Cashless Catering Project Support Officer will need to have good interpersonal skills and either experience of working with cashless catering systems or an ability to understand new technologies and assist in the training of non technical employees. Our client is expanding its cashless catering provision to offer parents the ability to pay for school meals online, keep track of their childs account balance and opt for automatic balance top ups whilst having visibility over their childs menu choice.The post will actively support the implementation and expansion rollout of Version 8 cashless catering system across both the primary and secondary school estate. Working proactively with schools and catering kitchen staff to support implementation of system installs and upgrades.Duties: * Work with various stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the delivery of the installation and upgrade of the new Cashless Catering System runs smoothly. Log issues as and when they arise and work with partners to resolve* Work with the catering staff and catering team to drive the development of the system and maximise its use.To attend site on installation of the new Cashless System to carry out testing to ensure configuration and operations of the tills. This will include:- Ensuring:* tills and revaluation machines have reserved static IP addresses on the same range as the kitchen PC / cashless server;* the tills can see the server and have the server IP saved in the registry;* there is an internet connection on the back office PC / server;* and all ports are open to access the biometrics.* To provide support and training for the cooks and catering assistants at initial set up and updates of the systems. Including hand holding on a number of consecutive days. You will be responsible for ensuring full security copies of the Software and Third Party Software and its databases and data in accordance with good computing practice* You will liaise with the systems supplier be responsible for ensuring that system software and firmware releases are installed as released by manufacturers. You will conducting system audits.* Meet with Head teachers, site managers, contractors, suppliers, the Councils Shared Resource Service IT engineers and other stake holders as required.* Support the design and implementation for policies, procedures and best practices relating to Information Systems. Produce MI reports. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience within a Project Officer role, or delivering an IT solution.
