We are looking for a Mechanical Craftsman to join our Cwmbran client team on a days role. The role purpose will be to maximise the operating efficiency of the plant and to maintain the assets, these objectives are to be achieved at the lowest practicablecost. To carry out maintenance work as directed, organizing material requirements and any supplementary labour.Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesResponsible for all Mechanical Maintenance activities whilst providing a continuous 24 hour maintenance service for all process and ancillary support equipment and services, in order to maximize area Plant availability and Production capability.Co-ordinating maintenance activities within a specified area of the plant.Working in close liaison with Production and other managers during MBT and Lean Manufacturing activities.Assisting the Engineering Manager in the control of outside contractors introduced into the area (e.g. dropshifts, development projects, major repair projects), to meet specificwork requirements and the development of the plant to meet changes in Production techniques.Responsible for regular testing and maintenance of all Mechanical services and associated standby equipment providing Process and Plant Protection.Enforce safe working practices to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner. Provide and maintain a safe working environment.Responsible for the implementation and development of mechanical maintenance routines for the designated areasEnsure that spare parts are correctly stocked and appropriateCarry out training of plant personnel where requiredKnowledge, Experience & AttributesPreferably experience of mechanical maintenance in a continuous manufacturing process510 years maintenance experienceMulti-skill trainedExcellent organisational skillsHighly motivated and team playerProven effective management and communication skillsPreferably knowledge of SAP PM Must be time served apprentice or ONC / HNC qualificationsSalary & Benefits from £38,231 10% Bonus potential 25 DaysHoliday allowance + Bank Holidays Pension scheme Westfield Health Care Sick pay (after 3 months of service) Life assurance scheme Occupational Health & Mental Health First Aiders Perkbox Cycle to work schemePMP Recruitment Ltd is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
