Job Description

Finance Assistant - Hybrid Opportunity Temporary with possibility of turning permanent for the right candidate Hourly pay rate £12.35 Per Hour + Holiday Pay An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Assistant to cover a period of recruitment within the team. Reporting into the Transactions Manager on a day to day basis you will be required to deal with a variety of tasks in order to ensurethe smooth running of the finance department.My client is ideally seeking a candidate for an immediate start. The successful candidate will play a significant role in covering the day to day finance tasks therefore they are seeing an experienced all-round accounts assistant who is used to rolling uptheir sleeves and helping out with a variety of duties.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of the purchase ledger and all associated tasks
  • Monthly payroll preparation. If you possess an understanding of RTI, auto-enrolment and associated payroll legislation this would be highly advantageous
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Dealing with queries
  • Processing mileage and expense claims
  • Sales ledger invoicing
The ideal candidate will
  • have experience of undertaking weekly, monthly, and year-end financial processing and working to a high standard,
  • have knowledge of financial statutory requirements,
  • have experience of inputting high volumes of data into IT systems,
  • have experience of using information technology including accountancy systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations,
  • be a skilled communicator who can relate and engage with people at all levels within the organisation,
  • have positive problem-solving approach with the ability to work to tight deadlines,
  • have well developed organisational skills,
  • be able to plan and prioritise own workload,
  • have the ability to think laterally and analyse/solve problems knowing when to seek support and work accurately to deadlines,
  • have the ability to answer large volume enquiries in a timely manner, offer quality advice and customer service and manage customer expectations appropriately
