Draughtsman / Cad TechnicianBlaenavonRate DOE + Pension + Holidays + Benefits39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, 15:30 finish on Fridays.Draughtsman / CAD Technician required for a successful & progressive manufacturer based in Blaenavon, they are part of a national group supplying on site manufactured components to key industries.Opportunities for further career growth coupled with advanced training will be a strong possibility in line with company growth plans for those looking to excel!The successful design draughtsman / cad technician will be proficient with AutoCad 2D at very minimum, 3D Cad or Solidworks experience would be beneficial. Candidates with knowledge of component manufacture- fabricating, welding & machining processes will ultimately be successful. Previous experience of working in a machining/assembly environment would be strongly advantageous.Alongside 2 other draughtsman/ cad technicians on site, you will have ultimate responsibility for generating mechanical CAD drawings for a range of manufacturing applications. Other responsibilities will include, creating parts lists / bills of materials, identifying improvements throughout the business and helping solve ongoing, Cad orientated problems.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company which can offer long term job stability and opportunities to make positional progression.The role:* Producing drawings to standard engineering practice, detailed drawings for manufacture, including producing detailed material profiles for CNC laser cutting.* Creating parts lists / bill of materials*Identifying materials and proprietary items to be purchased for manufactureThe Person:*Proficient with AutoCad 2D at very minimum, 3D Cad or Solidworks experience would be beneficial * Knowledge of component manufacture- fabricating, welding & machining processes* Previous experience of working in a machining/assembly environment would be strongly advantageous.
