Job Description

Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a Multi Skilled Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing client who are based in Cullompton.We are looking to recruit a multi-skilled Engineer to work alongside the existing team supporting the ongoing PPM of existing equipment, including commissioning and the installation of new builds.With this role, experience in electrical/mechanical fields is essential however, the client is prepared to support and develop a less experienced candidate if they can demonstrate flexibility, commitment and a keen appetite to acquire new skills.A pre-cursor to this role is the need to spend a period of time with the client’s team in Wincanton learning, understanding and operating our truck wash equipment as this is vital to understanding our business, our equipment and our customers.Responsibilities:

  • Unit preventative / routine maintenance
  • Contribute to the build and commissioning of our CIP equipment
  • Travel to units located throughout the UK (pre-dominantly SW) to support routine maintenance and/or breakdown
  • An ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
  • Completion of all necessary documentation to a high standard including reporting and defect follow-up
  • Occasional call outs
  • Working on a rota basis (10 working days out of 14) which does include some weekend work
  • Familiarisation with our internal tanker cleaning process using our automated machinery
    • Requirements:
  • Flexible, reliable and well organised
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Working knowledge of electrical / mechanical engineering
  • An ability to communicate with clients, colleagues and suppliers
