Senior ForecasterHM Land Registry (HMLR) has a great opportunity available for an experienced Senior Forecaster, who will be responsible for setting up and developing the main forecasting models for the organisation, while maintaining high standards and rigorous forecasting outputs. You will influence HMLRs strategic direction, based on the evidence produced from evaluation and research.You will contribute to the development of the growing analytical function at HMLR, considering how analysis can be used to support HMLRs work, putting in place appropriate standards and support systems for analysts and helping to establish the scale and structure of HMLR’s analytical community.Senior Forecaster Responsibilities:• To lead the preparation of housing market indicators and internal insight, while leading the monthly business intelligence meetings. Working closely with HMLRs Director and Deputy of Finance, Head of Central Operations and Head of Financial Planning, informing senior management of any changes in the market conditions, that have an impact of the volumes of work and revenue income.• You will provide valuable strategic direction to board papers prepared by the team, making recommendations on changes and attending key external networking events. You will lead on projects working with HMLRs developers to design new tools to capture insight. You will be responsible for identifying new external data sources that can assist with forecasting assumptions, providing analytical support on strategic projects, while championing good practice in quality assurance.• You will engage with internal and external Senior Stakeholders, within the Public and Private sector and Academia to further inform forecasting assumptions.Senior Forecaster Requirements:• As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate experience in delivering forecasting analysis, presenting complex information to a wide range of stakeholders, with the ability to set up a forecasting model.• You will be used to working with a wide range of stakeholders and delivering analytical projects under tight timescales, while producing pragmatic solutions.• You will be able to demonstrate Government Economic Skills (GES), Government Operational Researcher Services (GORS) and Government Statistics Service (GSS) at Grade 7, as defined in the GES technical framework attached.About HM Land Registry:HM Land Registry plays an important role in the property market, underpinning property ownership worth over £7 trillion across England and Wales.
