Job Description

Business: emap Brand: IBIS Worldwide Academic and Library File Role: Researcher - Scandinavian section Base Location: Remote / Home based Employment Type: Permanent, Part time 25 hours per week Salary: £12,350 Our company is not able to provide sponsorship to candidatesAbout the company and the brand:Trading as emap for its B2B division, Metropolis International is a fast-growing business, privately owned Media Group with over £50m of annual revenue, structured in two divisions - consumer media, and business-to-business media. In both parts of the business,we run print magazines, digital content and both face-to-face and virtual awards, conferences and other events. Metropolis is actively looking at acquiring more media businesses. We employ over 480 people in offices in West London, Croydon, Shoreditch, Devonand Dublin.IBIS Worldwide Academic and Library File has been supporting the global academic, scientific and educational publishing marked for over 50 years with quality data to enhance and improve their marketing efforts, we are an independent, research based databaseof higher education contacts design and constructed with the specific purpose of putting academic publishers in touch with their primary markets, predominantly teaching academics and librarians in higher education.We are a team of 11 multilinguistic and experienced researchers and have this rare job opening in the Scandinavian section. You will join a group that speak Japanese, Cantonese, French, English, German, Polish, Italian and Spanish. All roles are home based.Overall Purpose of the Role:The role of the Researcher will cover the following elements:

  • Updating the IBIS database collection of universities in the Scandinavian section using the internet as a search tool
Key responsibilities:
  • Entering academic & library data into the IBIS database
  • Ensure database records are current
  • Keeping to deadlines
  • Preparing monthly reports
Skills and Experience:
  • To be able to read and understand the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian or Swedish).
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have a basic Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Good time keeping
  • Be able to work independently
Core competencies:
  • To be able to read and understand the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian or Swedish).
