Job Description

SEN TeacherCROYDONNew SEN schoolTemp to permStart - SeptemberVeritas are currently working with a SEN through school (ages 2-19) in Croydon. Having opened in 2021, this school has fantastic facilities that cater to the needs of the students, including sensory rooms. The school are looking to recruit x3 SEN teachers tostart in September. They are looking for teachers who have experience working within SEN, specifically ASD and complex needs. There are roles across primary and secondary available.Parking available on site but there are also good links to local bus routes and a tram station.The school follow a non subject specific curriculum called Equals and class sizes will be between 5 to 7 students. In each class there will be 3 teaching assistants to support you in the lesson, this enables all pupils to receive the appropriate amountof care and support.Role is temp to perm for the right candidate.SEN Teacher Key skills and experience needed:

  • SEN experience is essential, preferably with young people with autism / ASD
  • QTS or unqualified with prior teaching experience
  • Knowledge of KS3/ KS2 curriculum
  • Experience planning lessons
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Professional manner
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and friendly approach
