Their work has a real impact on people’s lives, so they strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind.They have a new position for a Model Validation Actuary to support their Head of Model Validation in providing risk oversight in the areas of model and end-user computing (EUC) risks.This role will involve liaising with actuarial model owners to support implementation of the their model risk policy including contributing to the development and maintenance of this. This will include considering the requirements of Actuarial Standards,Financial Service industry best practice and government modelling reviews where appropriate. Additionally, this position will contribute to the development, implementation, and the regular independent validation of the their business critical models, suchas Long-Term Risk Model and the Actuarial Valuation models.Their ideal applicant will be a qualified Actuary with experience of working with actuarial models, which could have been gained within a wide range of actuarial environments. This position requires excellent analytical skills, with the ability to applythem to specific business situations.
